
TONY VALDEZ:
As President and co-founder of Lumeni Productions, Valdez handles much of the administrative and executive production operations of the company as well as heading up the creative team.
A highly experienced cameraman with an educational background in cinema and computer technology, Valdez launched his career at Hanna Barbera, where he worked on their Saturday morning slate of programming and commercials.
After joining Hogan Lee Images as production supervisor, Valdez developed an expertise in multi pass back-lit special effects, an analog technology that predated the digital science used in the industry today. Since co-founding Lumeni in 1979, his pursuit of innovative techniques to produce stunning results has continued.

GILBERT YABLON:
Vice President Gilbert Yablon serves as Chief Technical Director for Lumeni's film and computer graphics divisions. He specializes in the marriage of math and science with computer graphics and photography. His contributions to Lumeni have been in the fields of technical photography, software design, digital production, systems support and systems architecture. Yablon got hooked on photography when he was nine years old, and first experienced computers in the early 1970's while attending UC Santa Barbara and UCLA. Blending the two disciplines has been his passion since co-founding Lumeni in 1979.

Dave Basta joined Lumeni in 1996 doing pioneering work in the integration of PC and Mac design software into larger SGI-based film work-flows. For the last 8 years, he has returned to his photographic roots (B.S., Commercial Photography, Rochester Institute of Technology) working as senior colorist and color scientist. Primarily using a Baselight DI system and Lumeni's D-Cinema compliant grading theatre, he insures all Lumeni projects look their photographic best and will drop right into larger feature film or television projects without technical or color headaches. He has played a major role in establishing the color and stereographic blocking of 3D movie marketing campaigns for Nightmare Before Christmas, G-Force, Bolt, Tangled, Alice in Wonderland and Pirates 4.
He has been nominated for, and won several Key Art Awards for excellence in Motion Picture Marketing.

Andrew Doucette has 42 years of film-making experience under his belt, tracing back to his Super-8 days in Junior High. A USC Cinema grad, an award-winning music video director for artists as diverse as Jane's Addiction and Suzanne Vega, and an edgy title designer for film and TV, Andrew joined Lumeni's core team 14 years ago, contributing his wealth of editorial, animation and cinematic problem-solving skills to countless Lumeni endeavors. He is a master at Final Cut, Aftereffects, Autodesk Smoke.

Alex Warner is an award-winning designer who began working on stereoscopic ride and special venue films in the 1990s, then moving into visual effects and motion graphics for film and television. With over twenty years of experience in computer graphics, Alex creates and finishes stereoscopic 3D graphics and visual effects, as well as consulting on and supervising stereoscopic graphics production. Alex is a graduate of the Art Center College of Design and a member of the Visual Effects Society.

LUCY XING:
Lucy studied Media Arts at Michigan State University and has been working as a motion graphics designer for 5 years. She was responsible for creative motion design on numerous trailer and TV campaigns including, but not limited to: Wall-E, Enchanted, Little Miss Sunshine, Bolt, Up, Princess and the Frog, G-Force, Inception, Cars. She is a great designer, animator, and graphic finisher.

BRAD SCHAIDER:
Brad started his journey at Texas A&M University in the Environmental Design program with a focus on video and effects. Upon completing his degree he was accepted to the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. His Master's thesis, titled Panoësthesia, focused on panoramic environments and photogrammetry techniques he learned by working under cutting edge artists Eric Hanson, Greg Downing and Paul Debevec.
His artist duties typically consist of compositing, theatrical titles and stereo work. Like most at Lumeni, Brad is a generalist capable of taking on all types of projects that come into the shop from 3D to particles to shot fixes.
Brad enjoys exploring new ways to accomplish tasks. With efficiency in mind, he strives to speed up production without compromising on quality.

Jane has a background in fine arts and photography. In 2003 she applied her talents to visual effects and was soon supervising entire sequences. She came to Lumeni Productions after supervising the 2D and compositing department at Prime Focus VFX, previously Frantic Films. She is now the head of the VFX division of Lumeni. Some notable past projects she was involved in include Avatar, GI Joe: Rise of Cobra, Superman Returns, Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.
